Classic Concept Builders, Inc.

We have been a custom homebuilder headquartered in Prince William County, Virginia, for over 15 years. Classic has built its reputation on quality construction, in-house custom home design, and first class subdivisions. Classic has concentrated its building and development efforts solely in Prince William County and has established a reputation as one of the top homebuilders in the County.

Over the years, Classic has won numerous design and construction awards for its homes and subdivisions from the regional builder awards program, Finest for Family Living, now known as the Monument Awards. Classic recently received an award from the Prince William Conservation Alliance for “Environmentally Friendly Development Practices.” In 2003 and 2004, Classic Concept Builders received the “Builder of the Year” award from the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association, (NVBIA) in Prince William County and Northern Virginia, respectively.

Mark Granville-Smith, Chairman and CEO of Classic has served as Vice President in 2004, President in 2005, Vice President in 2006, and expects to serve as President once again in 2007 of the Prince William Chapter of the NVBIA. He serves on numerous Prince William County governmental committees in aiding the County efforts to best serve its citizens as issues relate to the Building Industry.

About 5 years ago, Classic entered the land acquisition and development business. In doing so, Classic has been able to acquire subdivision sites which few builders can rival.

Gaslight Landing, located in the historic district of Occoquan, Virginia, is truly the “gem” of Classics’ acquisition and development projects. For years, this site had remained vacant and an eyesore to the residents and town of Occoquan, Virginia. With the vision of Bob Hagel, development partner, and Mark Granville-Smith and the cooperation of the town of Occoquan, this project has become the envy of many. Through painstaking efforts of our architect, Mr. Rick Gomez with input and guidance from the town’s engineer, planning commission, town counsel members and Mayor, and finally the town’s Architectural Review Board, this project has become a reality. Finally, we hired Robert Schweitzer, Professor of Historic Architecture and Colors at the University of Michigan and expert on Victorian Era Design, to review and critique our designs down to the individual trim pieces and colors.

This project is truly a “one of a kind community,” not likely to be duplicated ever again. Gaslight Landing has everything you could want from the marina with a boat slip for every unit, elevators, extensive standard feature package, under unit parking for three cars, close proximity to I-95, Route 123, and Washington, D.C., located in the historic district of the town of Occoquan.

We look forward to working with our future customers
